isnt it a total waste of polys to bother modeling each finger?

why not just group them together??

not really a waste, just depends on your pespective, you CAN group them together, but it wont look as nice as a fingered hand, you can skin on fingrs but it just doesnt look the same,
wasting polys is putting mpore polys than necessary into one place without changing its appearance much, modelling the fingers on does cost more polys but they arent wasted, now if each finger was 200 polys then yeah id be wasted polys, but they are around 30 at most,

And by saying I look like kreshi now is bs, cause if you look at his, and you look at mine, we look nothing alike, no offense to him, and I know it was one of his firsts but it was a pretty bad model... :S

i also think they are a tiny bit too long for now but that may be me, btw could you give us (or me ^^) a top render (ya know from the top), i kinda think you got the anatomy of the arms right but they look too thin to me - could be the perspective though.

Honestly, people are way too paranoid and sensitive about cloning/ripping.
Who would've thought models could look similar because they're MODELLING THE SAME CHARACTER, rather then someone stealing another person's work? God..
