WTF does the J in SSJ mean!?

I know what SSJ is, and its (i think) Super Saiyan... J something. What the hell does the J stand for?!

please help. its been buggin me for the longest time.

The original Japanese term is Saiya-jin or Super Saiya-jin.

but yar its from the japanese spelling, things are hard to translate like that, as sounds can be written in various ways, and in the english dub they decided to leave out the jin on the end =\

Yeah its wierd, i write and type SSJ, but say it "super saiyan", cuz saying "super saiy-ajin" doesn't flow as good with me

I always thought that the "J" standing for "Jin" was just the suffix* to add, in japanese, to indicate the nationality. And so the nationality here would be "Saiyan".

*I think that the technical term is suffix.
