So yeah, as a general reminder for those WoW fans among us, the patch releases tomorrow and it includes some of the biggest changes the games ever gone through. Was hoping we could discuss those changes as compared to vanilla and after.

I'll get things started. Warlocks are now awesome. The rest of you suck. Rebuttals?

Warriors FTW. I can't wait to see how things change completely. I played the Beta a bit and had some fun being a Glitched Monk flying around with no flying mount.

@ Dam: Where at?

I haven't played since about a year after TBC came out, I got burned out in vanilla. Was in a bigtime raiding guild, and did the old rank 14 pvp grind. I just didn't have the willpower to keep playing the game.

Are the stat numbers like horribly inflated?

Also, ****ing pandas. I remember blizz saying they'd be in the game AS AN APRIL FOOL'S JOKE way back when. Bleh.

My real question is does anyone wanna cyber in the barrens with me ?

Yeah, stat numbers got up pretty high. My tank health is about 170k right now, and they're supposed to bump it up to 200-250k for Pandaria.

It's not even a slow transition to that number. At 80 you go from 10k to 70k in a couple levels and pieces of gear.

But all I care about is Warlocks getting the renovations they deserved.

They are actually kicking it down more into perspective.
Expect to see your health lower.

--- edit ---

Actually operation item squish didn't happen - nvm

Lets go Cyber in Barrens on Swifty's server.

I wish they would have squished everything back to BC. BC was the nest times for WoW imo.

I would like to see some of the older raids come back. At least like what they did with ZG and ZA. I haven't gotten much chance to -actually- run those bc raids.

I never did any BC raids, I quit at level 67. I was just like "this is the same shit, just more of it." (my personal opinion). I do however miss and not miss the old 40 man raids. We were one of the earlier guilds that got the twin emps down in AQ40 (and later on, C'thun, this was in vanilla). Then moving onto Naxx was just crazy.

And now I hear you can just stroll in there and punch Sapphiron in the face.

Yep, you can solo pretty much every lower wrath raid and below if your one of six certain classes. Now that the patch is out, I don't even know. Magtheridon is just laughable. I can sit there and ignore the adds on my DK for a straight 2 minutes, and still burn him down in 4 minutes once he's released.

It just feels so wrong not having Talent Trees anymore.

I haven't played this for so long but removing talent trees = wuuut :O How does it work then?

Also I agree with the aforementioned point with missing the 40 man raids, they were intense, very intense. 40 men and if 2 failed it would be a complete wipeout leading to inferior motivation and thus more demotivated people and it was an evil circle. C'thun before nerf was improbable.

Yea, we were really happy when we downed that fool.

Also, Blackwing Lair. Molten Core was fun and all, but Razorgore (and even moreso: VAAL) were the "welcome to endgame raids" bosses. I loved it.

Pft, wiping at Razorgore because 2 people died? Did this continue even after you cleared BwL? Dirty scrub guilds; trying AQ 40 and Naxxramas long before they were prepared for it. If you were getting demotivated from a couple of wipes, frankly you shouldn't have been raiding. Come at the Lich King, you best not miss.

I have to admit that I'm a bit overwhelmed with the hunter changes so far.
Seven new abilities as a BM hunter that need to be tracked and are the globalcooldown.

I already had a full set of keybinds that I used when trying out BM pre-patch.
I'll manage it eventually though :(

So far I do like the shadowpriest changes.

Same, shadow priests are pretty damn cool. I'm a little miffed at the healing potential DK's have, though. Not that I'm surprised about it.

What I like most so far (other than warlocks) is the warrior tanking. They were in some serious need of retooling after cataclysm raped their effectiveness. Glad to see Blizzard delivered.
