Would Appriciate Help

I am extremly confused about this program. I dled it and I'm just about stuck now. I think that I'm soppose to go to the ESF/cl_dlls but not sure about that. Even when I go there the client.dll file will not open. Really stuck. Wouldn't mind a walthrough. Thanks in advance.

You need half life to play esf. You can also open esf in hl by clicking on costum game, select esf from the list, press activate. Also you need a retail copy of half life or cs to play online.

can I play the custom game without having half life?

no but Half-Life is only about 10 - 20 dollars, a good buy... It has quite a few good mods
you have to update once you buy though...
