No. If he gives you his account usename & password then yes, but even then that is stupid. Just buy hl, it's only $10-$20 in most stores or $9.95 over steam.

Well here is a fact. If 2 people are using the same account in online mode. Than they cant play at the same time XD Aney servers or games connected to that account

Yes they can I do it all the time.

I gave my account and password to 2 of my friends because they didn't have HL2 yet and we wanted to deathmatch.... So we did. Justin owned everyone because he had a rocket launcher

Anywho: If someone gives you their steam ID and password: Yes you can play games with them and all that good stuff, I haven't found a limit yet as to how many people can use it, my max is 4 at the same time so far.

Online or on a LAN?
On LAN it works fine but online I always get something like your steam id is already in use -.-
Tryed it with a friend a while ago -.-

I also have only been able to use an account on 2 pc's at any one time. offline mode only.
