With alternative operating systems becoming more and more popular these days, I thought it would be interesting to see what operating systems people are running these days.

I myself have 2 laptops.

On my first laptop I have Kubuntu Linux 64 bit running and running great.

On my Second laptop (I take this one to work with me) I bought came with Vista but i wiped it off and put Mac OSX Tiger on it. Don't ask me how to do this because this isn't a proper place for such discussions lol.

And on my home desktop which I use as a file sharing server, is running OpenSUSE linux 10.2.

Now my question to you is what are you running on your pcs. I do realize that most of you will be using windows xp or vista but to those of you who aren't what are you running?

Windows XP. Until Vista offers more for cheaper, I plan to keep XP.

Windows XP Media Center Edition right now. Not bothering with Vista until the benefits far outweigh the losses. Personally, I don't like the fact that from what I've been told, running Vista on idle with only background processes is like running on XP with Half Life 2 sitting paused in the background. Being geared towards animation, I don't need my machine to waste processing...

I have a dual boot with XP and Ubuntu.

Mostly, Linux is there for me to play around with. It also doesn't have any games on the desktop, so I'll use it when I need to do work, and don't want any distractions. I use OpenOffice and Firefox anyway, so it's the same as working on XP. I wish Ubuntu had games like XP, or XP had the customizability of Linux.

I got Vista Home Premium 32 bit as an OEM, and it works well enough. I'll probably upgrade to some 64 bit version when it doesn't cost a hojillion dollars.

Windows XP ofcourse... I tried vista, tried ubuntu, tried XP 64x...I always come back to plain old XP. I have to say though, if I could get all my games to work on OSX, I would probably switch, it's all I use at school.
