Whats with this stupid error message that keeps saying that a server is running a different protocol version? What's that supposed to mean? Please help me!!!!!!!!!!! I have Beta 1.1 and it happens when I try to join an internet game.... and i cant make LAN games because of a certain file.... but right now im concerned about being able to play on the internet... but whats with the stupid...

im guessing the file is voiceicon.spr :O
make sure you have half-life(1.1.1.0) or cs(1.5) updated
to check the version just open ur half-lifeor cs and look at the bottom right corner
if u didnt patch it download the patch uninstall esf, patch half-life and then install esf

I've to say ... your error message sounds interesting ... sounds like you disable IP anyhow ... I've never heard of such a problem before ... but if I'm correct this doesn't just happen in ESF ...
I would suggest to try with adding a "-noipx" into your ESF/ HL shortcut ... but I dunno if it really will help you

to the "not able to start a LAN game" ... this sounds like me that it's cause by same problem ... which certain file you're missing ???

I think im missing the voiceicon thingy that the other guy said... how come whenever i join a new game on esf... you know single player... the select your character screen shows up, and when i choose one... it keeps on flashing the player screen up at me and i cant play....
