What IS spam?

Why do you guys warn people for spamming? Yet theres some forms of spam **** that seems to be allowed? I saw David just receive a warning, yet i dont see YopYop getting a warning for posting a question about 1.3 release which is spam since people don't read rules and stuff, and get away with it? Why isnt a spam thread allowed to be spammed in? Especially since David's post was relevant, because for those with half a brain can figure out the answer to David's post is "it can't be defined;ie a date cannot be determined"

Feels like random warnings are being handed out, stupid rules are being made, rules which NEED to be made arent happening, and its all just not happening :\

The only thing you can do is live with how things are. You can not possibly expect the moderators to be perfectly the same as each other. One moderator could be more easy going than another, one might let people off more than an other. Just depends on who the moderator is. It is also the same with the police, teachers, principles, ecetera.
