The original and sequel use different engines, however Valve have managed to create tools that will enable mod developers to easily port their HL1 mod to the Source engine. You might see a lot of your old favourites playable in the new engine.

I think this is in the wrong section.

Otherwise, sweet! Hopefully it will sway the ESF team to port to the Source engine, if this doesn't, nothing will. As long as it's an easy, near automatic conversion, I don't see how they can refuse.

ESF will not port to Half-Life 2, it will continue to be developed for Half-Life only.
