Exactly, the Warhammer franchise is huge and everyone who goes to Games Workshop now and then will definitely buy it. So the initial success of the game is pretty much guaranteed. As for a fantasy Warhammer MMO (40k), that's in the making as well.

As for me, I'll definitely give this game a shot... although I'm not keeping my hopes up. Who knows, we might be in for a surprise.

running around as one of the emperors finest could have a lot of potential!

think of the different ways to progress in any given race, psycher, scout, heavy weapons, commander, chaplain, apothicary.

hell, i can see Eldar being immensely fun to play if done right, imagine trying to become an Autarch, and having to go down all the aspect warrior paths

not much longer now! i've set myself up for a gobbo squid hearder for some fun funs!.
As for the 40k mmo, i could imagine it making an epic MMOFPS, and considering the last decent mmofps was planetside a bazillion years ago its an empty market! could have a squad forming LFG system, you level up and branch down career paths, from tactical marines branching off to devestators or assault marines. you could group up with similar specced players to form tactical squads, commanders could be issuing location commands onto the HUD for some awesome tactical pew pew fun on hoooge wars. Alas i bet it'll be a bog standard shake 'n bake RPG based mmo though. makes me a sad panda :<

Not too much into Warhammer Fantasy, but I might check it out if there are free trials.

40k MMO can only be awesome if you can start as a mere chaos marine and ascend to a Daemon Prince in the end.
MMOFPS would be very awesome.

every race has something highly appealing for an MMO though which is awesome.

Me and my friend (who got me into Warhammer in the first place) are psyched for this game. For what it's worth, it may be a WoW clone but I think it hits the lore pretty dead on. I just like the idea of siege. I love siege

Tell me something, is the game seemless like WoW? or is it instanced like AoC?

I want to order it today, but thats the only thing that concerns me, the instanced style of AoC annoyed me slightly (with the constant zoning crashes and stuff >_<) so I have high hopes that WAR is seemless!

You zone to go to scenarios(similar to WoW battlegrounds), and to go between the different pairings(like going for mount bloodhorn which is ork vs dwarf, and nordland which is chaos vs empire), I zone a lot, but that's only because i do tons of scenarios.

la la la... still cant authencate my bloody beta key after 3 days of trying. this is stupid, i paid an extra ten pounds just to get into the beta thinking it'd be a few months. i find out its only for a week, and now its looking like i wont be even logging on in that week! gg

Not being in europe I had no idea until i heard about from a bunch of people, but apparently GOA(the company bringing WAR to europe) is pretty terrible. Sorry to hear that they've been giving you a tough time too(it's apparently quite widespread).

Alot of people have been talking about it and from what i've seen it looks pretty sweet. I am prob gonna go Ironbreaker first. Just like playing a tank of sorts/warrior class for the pure beatdown.
