want to learn modeling...

im interested in learning how to model but i dont know any programs to use . does anyone know a modeling program which is easy to use and preferably free?.

Use Gmax, then move to 3d Studio Max. Gmax is a choped up version of 3d Studio Max, but its free, 3dsm is not, far from it. I would suggest looking at some tutorials and hanging out with people at cgtalk or polycount, and pick up some techniques and eventually come up with your own style of modeling and skinning. It's not something you can do over night, just keep that in mind, it takes time and patience.
