Well, I'm gettin a dell for the fall when I go to university, (BTW I chose desktop for anyone who remembers my Laptop vs Desktop thread)

Anyways, should I stick with the 64MB DDR NVIDIA* GeForce4 MX™ Graphics Card or is it worth the $200 to upgrade to a 128MB DDR ATI RADEON™ 9800 Graphics Card.

I don't want to know which one out performs the other, the price must speak for itself.

What I want to know is, is the improvement in performance of the Radeon over the Geforce worth an extra $200 bucks or would I be quite content with the Geforce4?

Thanks,

The ati 9800 blows the gf4 mx completely out of the water. The mx series of cards are known as budget cards... low cost but can do the job without much trouble (medium/low settings on most games). The ati 9800 is the second best card out on the market right now, just below the best gf fx. The real question you should ask is how much gaming will you be doing in college. The 9800 what I say to get if you want a card that will be able to play games for the next few years. But if you just need something to play the ocassional game then get the gf mx.
