and now you are trieing to hide the actual truth, you are using invalid cd-key, Won and possibly Warez'ed Hl, and try to avoid the "activation" process in steam to play from what i understand.

That means that you are using WON.

Regardless of what you say. STEAM does not have that error.

Xerius987, you need Steam in order to play ESF. If you don't have Steam, then you need to download it from the official site - http://www.steampowered.com

Once you download Steam, you need to make a new account. Once you made a new account, you need to register your Half-Life CD-Key. To register your Half-Life CD-Key, go to the top menu bar within Steam, and click on the "Games" button, then click on "Activate a product on Steam..." Just follow all the steps after that, and when you've registered a valid Half-Life CD-Key, then you need to wait for Steam to download Half-Life off of it's server, and update it to the latest version.

Once that is complete, you need to run Half-Life at least once, and then you can download/install ESF.

Now, if you do not wish to use Steam, then we will be unable to help you with how to get ESF to work without it.

The point of my thread was mostly to tell him to read all the stickies. The rest was there to make it on topic. So, sorry. ^^

EDIT: Oh and LegendarY, ease off a bit, I know how newbs can piss off a guy that's just trying to help, but he's obviously just less smart, and worst of all, hardheaded. So don't be too hard on him.
