I absolutely love how, when a small handful of people feel a moderator has stepped out of line, the whole forum staff becomes a collection of people who think the exact same way.
Let me tell you, with the utmost finality, that my staff is composed of individuals who put the health of the community first, and each of them handles that responsibility in an entirely different manner. If any of you ever feel that a moderator has stepped out of line and is not keeping that responsibility at the forefront of his or her duties, then you should be contacting an administrator in private. Trying to discredit any member of my staff or trying to generalize the entire staff through a situation that involved only 2 or 3 moderators is both pointless and hazardous.
If this is the way many of you plan on handling your issues with specific moderators, then let me remind you that an open modelling/skinning discussion forum is a privilage in this community, not a God-given right. If you have legitimate issues with how the moderators assigned to it are performing their duties, you take it up, in private, with an active, senior administrator (that's Sonic Boyster, KarrdeKNR, Cucumba, or myself. You are also free to contact the Head Moderator, Magus). If you don't want to handle your problems in that fashion, then you can either keep them to yourself, or not bother with this section. Much to the contrary of what some of you might believe, or lead others to believe, the administration doesn't leap to defend its moderators if they are shown to be, clearly, in the wrong.
So, please; next time, don't destroy someone else's thread if you want to appeal a moderator's action. Just cut the crap, next time, and PM one of the people I mentioned, or you can expect things in here to become more strictly monitored.
