My friends and I waited nine hours on line to see the Disasterpeices DVD premeire in NYC at the Hammerstein Ballroom. Needless to say I almost died, but I was one of the main attractions on the line, for my jumpsuit and James mask were very acurate. I even got to walk around town and curse people off on camera! How cool is that? Thats either gonna be on www.roadrun.com or on much music a week before the dvd releases.

The guy with red hair, reaching his hand higher than everyone else is none other than your very own SS_Vegeta.

well then I guess mushroomhead copied gwar, alice cooper, and kiss then right?!?!?! slipknot didn't copy mushroomhead...and u have no clue what your talking about when it comes to musical talent. Slipknot drum wise is way more advanced and more technique then mushroom head...bass wise its tough...only thing mushroomhead has over slipknot is guitar....thats it. I find their lyrics boring as ever....I dont even know a song where their singer actually does any harmonizing at all....now then I'd have to say mudvayne has way more talent then both of the bands...expecially bass and lyrical wise.

Oh, I never meant to imply that they copied mushroomhead musically..
God, no..they're two entirely different beasts..

I was talking about the mode of dress..
Style-wise, they ripped 'em off big time.

As I've said before in discussions of this nature, they're completely different musically. I didn't mean to imply that, i just forgot to mention it this time around.

And X..please..I know what I'm talking about when it comes to musical talent...next time, read my posts a tad more thoroughly..
I prefer mushroomhead's ability to blend traditional intruments with current instruments..violins, chellos and pianos with drums, guitars and bass.
They can create quite the effect.
That's why I like the band, personally.

actually your wrong about slipknot stealing their style of dressing...mushroomhead was only out 2-3 years before slipknot....mushroomhead is from cleveland (i think) and slipknot is from iowa...I really dont think slipknot knew about mushroomhead intil their 2nd almbum came along...thats when all the big talk came about "mushroomhead stealing slipknots way of dressing..." because nobody knew who in the hell mushroomhead was. now slipknot said that they did get the idea for the bass drum percussionists from an inspirational band...which ican't remember who it was. But its all false talk what your saying....it can never be proven that anybody ripped anybody off. Its a matter of "he said she said"

by the way....mudvayne is better then both of those bands....much better i may add to that.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy both bands thoroughly..
But there IS better stuff out there.

From what i've seen (not saying this about everyone) a lot of the people who listen to slipknot are wanna-be goth ... or they are just goth ... and i always feel like going up to a goth and saying, "here's something to be sad about.." and then grabbing their head and ramming it into my knee.

i listen to slipknot, along with heavy metal bands, rap, jazz, classical music, and that rare mixture of heavy metal with classical music, and i do not at all want to be goth. i am on the football and wrestling team, is that goth?

I'm sorry, my friend, but you're wrong on that one..
Most of the "goths" would align themselves with the likes of Manson or Nine Inch Nails..
Those are more along the lines of "oh, my life sucks, let me die now"...
slipknot is "nu metal"....which usually involves the vocalist screaming and roaring about their problems, not whining
