I don't see why you can't. The only contingency is that you should probably wait for the person who posted the picture to respond before you fire off another guess.

Ie: I don't think saying "It's either R-Type, Gradius, Parodius, or Defender" in one post would be particularly fair. But, by all means, take multiple guesses, provided they are spaced out by multiple responses from the person who posted the image.
