Um this is most obviously the story of Jesus Christ. Morpheus is John the Baptist. The humans are the jews. The machines are sort of like the Romans. Smith is sort of like Barabas(sp?). Neo, which means NEW, is of course Jesus aka the NEW Testament.

Smith will win, no doubt. How it will exactly end though no one but the script writers know.

It's not exactly religion, more of history. I never said Jesus was the messiah or anything but it is a sotry about him.

well its a fact that its based on the bible, its true that morpheus is john the baptist. cypher is judas (the guy that betrayed jezus). Smith is an antichrist. the matrix itself is like the devil etc.

but I dont think its wise that we start this discussion about religion, lets just keep it totally focused on the movie :)

I think the whole trilogy is one movie, I dont think of it as 'first part rawked, 2nd part sux.' I see it as one movie..just 'the matrix rawks, or it sux' no parts involved for me. After the first part I already thought it was incomplete. so I just have to wait for revolutions :)

its so gonna own, i'm sure of it :)

well the matrix was more independant from reloaded and revolutions

cause reloaded and revolutions are just 1 movie in 2 parts where as the matrix was more just a single movie

yeah I know that, they made reloaded and revolutions at same time because it was cheaper to do that. but still I see it as a whole since all the movies just connect to eachother perfectly :)

btw: http://progressive.warnerbros.com/thematrix/us/med/rev_theatre_0x10383910_1024_dl.zip

its the ultra version of the trailer, and no you cant select that one from the trailer list ;)

someone obviously used a hack code on the input on site :) to get that. so anyway, enjoy :)

I'm more looking forward to ROTK, to tell the truth. The Matrix never really appealed to me.

I think the matrix is cool because it has something for everyone. Action for people who like action and metaphors and symbols and anologies for people who like that stuff.

It's a film you either love or hate, I personnaly think it's alright.

yep, so true. I like kung-fu action in a movie a lot, mixed with loads of very nice special FX and it makes my day...2nd the storyline is so very nice, loads of twists in it you didnt see coming. 3rd the story itself makes you think about life, it's not a movie you see and when its finished you dont remember it. it stays with you. 4th the actors and actresses are damn well chosen. 5th the philosophy. 6th hidden messages, and everytime you watch it again you see something else that pops in the eye :)

uh i just seen it 2 days ago on a imax screen and it was awesome.

i really liked the battle against neo and smith,

i don't wish to rune the ending for those who havent seen it but agent smith loses in the end, and neo lives, it doesn't show you him alive but all signs point you to believing he is alive, like when the oracle said one of them would see tomorrow, and the fact that the oracle came back after smith absorbed her... so actually smith lost

No, either they both are alive or they both are dead.

It's like an equation, if neos lives then there is an imbalance so Smith would live to balance the equation out.

So, no, neo's teh dead for good.

that doesn't make sense why would oracle say that one of them would see tomorrow then? and why would the oracle be back and neo wouldn't be, she was absorbed just like neo?

Technically, the equasion is balanced, Neo is no longer in the matrix, or capable of returning to it without the machines consent.

If you remove the variable (subtraction) then the equasion zeros out.

I thought that since Neo became Smith, he was "one" with all the Smiths, since all the Smiths are one. So then the robots caused Neo to self destruct, killing all the Smiths.
