That is the most rediculous thing I've ever heard, the first Max Payne had a dead baby and a dead wife in the first level, a dead ****ing baby dude. That's why the game is rated M for MATURE and should NOT be played by anyone who cannot handle such intense violence.
(i agree with this)
Sure, I'm against the attacks on the gaming industry, but Rockstar is bringing this on themselves, they WANT **** like this to happen, otherwise they wouldn't make POINTLESS games like Manhunt. I've always believed one thing, if a man cannot decipher the difference between Virtual Reality and Reality then he shouldn't be in the PUBLIC to begin with.
(Bashing rockstar saying they want this is like saying we all want to world to end. Manhunt was not pointless game. It was a mature game that was alot of fun to people who can handle it. In fact i like the style manhunt used it was a new and nice gaming exp)
I think sometimes people like Lieberman take gaming violence too far, but it is a problem, whether you like it or not. I'm for the gaming industry, but if companies like Rockstar keep pushing the boundries whether it be chopping up bodies in Manhunt or seeing dead babies in Max Payne (while it was a GREAT game, it is not something young people should be playing), then the companies deserve to be punished.
(the only person who needs to be punished is the people who cant handle it. Censors do more harm then good. one day we going have games where we play monsters and eat peoples guts.Or even more real looking games. If people in this world stupid enough cant handle it. Then lock them up and throw away the key. Sounds harsh? Companies dont need to be punished at all. They give what people want.)
As for some dumb kids that do something stupid, blame the lawyer, it's the LAWYER that uses the 'game made me do it' defense. The perpitrators deserve the full extent of the law, despite what VIRTUAL REALITY might have MADE them do.
(Even if the games help with this. The person at fault is him. This **** use to happen with tv in 80s also. People blame guess what? Tv)
Blame the parents, that's what I say, most 13-15 year olds don't have a job, so who is the one that buys them the X-Box and all the Mature rated games? The parents obviously. While the children deserve the full extent of the law, the parents should see fines for giving their children games that are not meant to be in their hands in the first place
(I agree moms and dads should know. Yet in a perfect world. Kids dont listen. Plus watching your kids 24/7 and trying to know everything they do... Noway it could happen. In a normal world. Mom and dad has to trust son doing the right thing. Saying she should have stop him from playing. I bet she would have. If she knew he would be a total wacko in the head. So as far as mom and dad part. Yes they should try harder.Yet noway the could know. The only person to blame is the kid. Not the family)
