Who will win? The pirates? The ninjas?

All rules apply, the pirates can use their ships and cannons (please remember, they don't have infinite ammo cheat, this is REALISTIC after all...)
Each ship may contain up to 300 people.

Ninjas can aboard the ships, they can fight on islands against pirate infantry and such.

This is based on full army scale of war, not singles nor individuals.

To make this interesting and have more information to discuss: The pirates are the aggressors, they want to take over Ninjaislandland, who possesses The Godly Dildo of Aphrodite, which worth's more gold than any other treasure ever buried among rich nymphos. The pirates look for that special object. The Ninjas, of course, protect their precious article.

Ninjaislandland is surrounded by different islands, in the style of Japan around WW2, who are controlled by the ninjas. The ninjas have long range powerful cannons (around 1.5KM, enough to hit the pirate ships. Those cannons can not be removed from their place) on each side of each island (north south east and west side).
The islands terrain is based of jungles, mountains, a home for wild beasts such as bears, wild boars, coyotes, cheetahs and such. The forests are very bushy and may distribute deadly diseases such as swine flu from various insects.

Note: The Ninja bases are free of insects because of their technology used in the base.

Battle powers starts equivalent, 100 thousand troops each side. Pirates special abilities are ships and cannons. They can remove the cannons from their ships and deploy them on islands. They also have SOME guns.(not many, around 1 per 4 troops) Sword for each trooper, no shields or armor.

Ninjas have Shuriken, they can make use of their foresty islands, beasts, rocky and mountain terrain (make traps, stealth, take hostage and such)
and different guerrilla warfare tactics. Each ninja has 1 Ninja sword, non-chuks, 10 poison darts, (replenished each battle) 1 bow and arrow - 20 arrows. There cloths may change according to their will. (especially to blend with the terrain)

You may say who you think will win, you don't have to say why, if you do, I recommend you to elaborate, but you dont have to, of course.

Note: thanks Deathshot. This thread may sound sarcastic, and it is, but it is meant for discussion. And the Pirates and Ninjas have the same powers as the real ones. No robot pirates or robot ninjas or telekinetic ninja or something like that.

Ninjas are assassins; in order to best perform that role, they'd need to strike from complete cover. That doesn't translate to combat finesse in an all-out battle.

Additionally, if we are to assume each ship is saturated with pirates, it is highly unlikely that there would be enough ninjas on each ship to actually render the crews useless. A ship of 300 is crowded, I imagine, beyond belief - hiding places are at a premium, and people WILL notice if someone spontaneously goes missing or, otherwise, turns up as a corpse. The ninja (and his few accomplices - remember, the ship would be insanely crowded; there wouldn't exactly be room to have a 100-person hidden strike force lurking behind 100 conveniently-placed barrels) would be found out well before the majority of those 300 people are killed.

Artillery, explosives, and makeshift equipment can be used to clear forestry that ninjas could, otherwise, strike from. Once out in the open, they are prey to the same factors that anyone else is particularly vulnerable to - gunfire, cannons, and good, old-fashioned cutlasses.

Verdict? In an all-out battle, the pirates are going to win. Ninjas are trained assassins, not warriors. Pirates, on the other hand, are not above fighting dirty or doing whatever it takes to reach their desired end. They are neither required nor used to employing the "one cut; one kill" idea behind an assassination.

EDIT - If we're to assume they are based on "real" ninjas, why do they have cannon-defended fortresses and, apparently, dominion over insects and other pathogens? It sounds, to me, like you're putting the pirates at an intentional disadvantage :p

In terms of who's cooler ninjas totally own.

I'm still not sure about battle-wise, but who really cares how well you can fight when you're as cool as a ninja? Amiright?

Ninjas would have no chance. Even if you got past the blunderbuses and pistols of the pirates you'd still have to deal with superior numbers in a melee fight. History's on our side.

Pol and ??? = profit
I am now amongst the Ninjas. I was traning hard alone in the deep forests of amajanamujafgha jungle.
This was tough time for me when i didn't have enough food i had to eat raptors and tigers.
I've learned bunch of usefull skills like to vanish in plain sights with use of carrot and chocolate chips, fart and sneeze so no1 hears,
slice the bullets in half with my katana and chop vegetables like they do in cooking shows. Some day when i was killing some pirates bettween
lunch and desert i met her. My beloved is Armoured Pirate Princess she has a shotgun instead of leg but i don't mind.
My only hope is that the war will end soon and we can live together happy ever after.
