I don't know about any of you but I love more games on the NES and SNES than all other systems combined. I really can't stand where game developers are taking the gaming market today.
All they need to have is awesome visuals with 90 minutes of cut scenes, guns, T&A and then everyone is swooning over them. Speaking of the beloved FF series, has anyone seen FFX-2? If you look at my little formula up there everyone will be buying it when it comes out because it contains all that I just said.
Tons of visuals, guns, and T&A.... I have no idea what Square has been thinking as of late, there games always revolved around story more than visuals. However they seem to be going over to the visual side and leaving story in second place, and it is really showing.
I loved the first Zelda, had less love for the second, fell in love with the 3rd, and fell out of love with the last again. Seems like when ever they tried to change Zelda for the better they only made it worse for me. I just wish they would start to make some 2D games again.
I guess the largest appeal of 2D over 3D for me is that I have to use my imagination just a little bit more over 3D.
