Hot damn, I'm glad I finally got my hands on it.....this album is the ****. Has anyone listened to it yet?

From what I saw, it looks like they did a complete 180 from previous albums, trying to get more sales from the teens. I only heard one song, and it was on MTV2, which made me even more nervous. I liked their old stuff, but I was definatly not feeling the song I heard.

Let me guess....you heard BYOB? I'm telling you, this is a great album and it has a lot of diversity, one of my friends actually thought he was listening to Slayer at one point, while slower songs like Lost in Hollywood are a perfect fit for this album too.

It is. I don't really dislike any of the songs on this album but BYOB is one of the lesser. And Fatal, potential? wtf? How can you know they have potential if you've never listened to them?

I heard they got Damien doing more vocal work than guitarring now, not really sure about that :S

3DD = 3 Doors Down, the CD's came together because they're both new releases.

Anyway, I think Mesmerize is a VERY worthy addition to SOAD's discography, personally I think there are no bad songs on this one. Some are better then others, sure, but no bad songs, if you know what I mean. ^_^

I only heard a few songs, and I liked them, but I'm not gonna buy the cd, I'm not a real fan of them.

It's cool, yeah, but it's also one of the lesser songs on the album. Imagine how good the rest is. D:<
