They arent square polys, they are quads, and you have to have something like 3dsm to do them.

technically quads ARE square polies, since quads is an abreviation of a quadrangle = four sided shape

any four sided shape is a square, therefor a polygon with 4 sides MUST be a square.

and your right, MS3D wont make quads, only Tri's which isnt nececarily a bad thing, it just complicates some thigns like skinmapping.

Yeah but I dont really model at all, just very little, and just from knowing modelers, and hanging around on message boards where people model I've learned about quads etc.
