Knowing MGS, Snake's death will be like this:

He's walking over a steel beam, molten steel in a large vat underneath him, a 10 meter drop between him and the steel.

Snake walks on, being too sneaky to notice the banana peel on the beam, he slips on it, and hopes for a quick incineration at the hands of the steel.
