Alright I've had this idea brewing for a while now. It'll basically define the type of player you want to be in a fight by giving you greater control on how you want to distribute your power.

First things first is how will this be implemented logically. It will be based off of a potentiometer that will read off of multiple factors. It will vary from 0-100 or whatever you choose that will be defined by what powerlevel you are at.
You can control where you want it set by using the carrot keys for example. Instead of everyone having a set speed of normal and SSJ, speed will vary and so will how devastating the blows can be.

Left carrot will bring the potentiometer closer to 0%, and will make your guy have more speed but less strength and bulk, which means he is more susceptible to
heavy blows and take on more damage. The positive side to being more speedy, is having the advantage of landing more blows and pulling off faster combos, while draining less stamina.

On the other side of the spectrum, or holding the right carrot down to make the potentiometer sway more towards 100%, will make your guy much more powerful and bulky, but will come at the cost of speed. Stamina will also drain faster. This can come in handy if you know your opponent is weak when it comes to melee, and you know you can just over power them in a few blows and kill them.

To implement the change in the potentiometer, all you have to do is hit the power up button and it will charge your KI, along with setting the value of the potentiometer and changing your characters attributes, along with a delay of some sort depending on how much you change it. If it is little change the delay is not so much and can be done in a few seconds. But if you're going from 0-100 for example, it could take 20 seconds to bulk up.

Appearance changes would be a plus, having the models expand their muscles based on a percentage would be totally up to the coders and the engine. Visible traits would be a plus so the characteristics of USSJ would easily be shown.

How you choose to fight will be based on who you are fighting and what style they use. It will make for a more diverse fighting scenario and give the user complete control over how they want to balance their attributes. I think this could be done and be a complete game changer, any thoughts on this?

As DBZish as it is its totaly inpractical for ESF. Every half decent player knows that PL doesnt mean much in this game. Speed is the way to go. Not only that, with a lower PL you also gain it much faster, so the end result would be that the speed players catch up the to strength players really easily while retaining the bonus of the setting.

This would work fotally fine if we didnt have a PL system in the game.
