First of all I'd like to remind you all that I'm new to this forum and that for some reason I didn't have the time to read all of the threads. So if my suggestion has already been made/rejected please tell me.
I don't know how hard would it be to implement and code what I'm about to say but it doesn't seem all that complicated.
The story mode would consist on a series of battles with a bot/bots.
For example you'd start of in the fight against Piccolo in the tournament and there you could only choose Goku but in the fight against Vegeta you could go for Piccolo/Gohan/Krillin/Goku. The human player could also have bot players in his team (against piccolo he'd go solo but against vegeta he'd could have some help).
There could be some text cut-scenes between the fights with some text and pictures (if the ESF has legal right to use them).
So basically there would be no changes in the battle system or whatever. It would simply be a pre-defined series of fights.
This might seem useless since you can do it yourself by setting up a LAN game with bots etc etc but I think it would be a nice touch to the game. Sort of like DBZ Legends (PSX/SAT).
