If that were the case, Corran Horn, Luke Skywalker, Mara Jade, Leia, etc would all be Darksiders... Getting married doesn't send you down a road to the darkside. It's a lack of willpower to resist temptation that causes this.

If you have the choice, between gaining power through meditation self-exploration and learning, or having someone show you how to untap the power in a matter of seconds, are you going to tell me you wouldn't be the least bit tempted?

I know I would. On the other hand, I would resist the dark side. I don't like the idea of hurting people... Being a dark Jedi (or worse) wouldn't really suit me very well.

Wrong, I heard this completely clearly: "If you marry you will be on the Dark Side" Now let's not start a flame war so I don't get banned :]

I and II looked good... and III looks good, but it'll probably end up not being good, just like I and II.

I reckon Senator Amidala will die, and that'll drive Anakin over the edge, Amidala wasn't in episode 4,5,6 so clearly she must've died somewhere in the middle (correct me if I'm wrong I dunno the Star Wars history all that well.)

George Lucas did not direct either the empire strikes back or return of the jedi. More to the point he wasn't the major writer in either and had 4 or 5 other people editting it as well as writing and changing it. This has not happened in the prequels as George is both major writer and director. Star Wars: A New Hope which he wrote and directed... let's face it the dialogue in that is not something oscar worthy by any stretch.

i agree with wats-his-face above me.
Many lines from a New Hope are legendary. And i think they are beautifully written.
Like all that crap about the force. "i want to learn the ways of the force and become a Jedi like my father"
And let us not forget, 'Let the Wookie win'

???? WHere are you getting your info from? If you watch the interviews with lucas that are included in the 2nd release of the original trilogy, he clearly says that he wrote episode 4, 5 and 6 then realized they were way to big for one movie (actually, the way he says it it sounds like he wrote the entire thing then broke them up into 6).

Theres his filmography and u can see he wrote all the star wars, and edited them as well. Maybe he had other people helping him along but theres no way any of the starwars we'rent his baby.

The reason the dialogue sucked is because yah, lucas cant write dialogue to save his life, it was the flair of ford, fisher and hammill that made the first 3 movies.

crazy much? Padme didnt die at all in Attack of the Clones.

Are u people crazy! As if he cant write dialogue. And who wrote the dialogue for when Anakin and Padme were talking by the fire. That's one of the best dialogues anywhere.

Also from imdb:
Episode V
George Lucas (story)

Leigh Brackett and
Lawrence Kasdan

These are the writers. Note How George Lucas isn't story AND screenplay.

Episode VI
George Lucas (story)

Lawrence Kasdan and
George Lucas

David Webb Peoples uncredited

As compared to Episode I where George Lucas is the only writer, and in Episode 2 is creditted with Story and Screenplay.
