Only person I think they've casted correctly was Simon Pegg as Scotty, I wanna see it just for that.

The trailer ain't looking too bad. I like how they changed the visual style of that "time period" to something more modern
Or could you imagine a new movie with the same visual style as the old series (as in, looks of the ships and computers and whatnot..)

I totally agree with you. I did grow up watching TNG and Deep Space Nine. I loved Picard and Data and Warf so much.
