Simple suggestion. Make all SB's appear as high as possible, so they almost touch the ceiling, no meter where you stand while charging it.

But then when you throw it it could hit something or somewhere you don't want it to. It would pretty much make the attack worthless. If this is what u really want just fly up as high as possible, start charging it and turn off fly, Goku will drop to the ground while it's still charging. That's even more simple than changing the code.

there is another trich wich makes you charge a SB line in movie 13 ^^

jump and start charging at the same time and if you turn fly on and off the right time you charge the SB from the inside ^^

ok.. or theres this. if some one is shooting a beam at you and your not ready to launch push fly key and fall. push it again to stop and just do it bit by bit 2 stop people from hitting you. safest way. my trick.
