yeah this file is huge for a wallpaper, so if u see a red x wait a bit and check back. there is no way my host is ganna be bale to keep up with the bandwith on this one.
pretty basic design, leaves some room for icons, isnt to hard on the eyes, and the color scheme fits. image is from an old psm cover, and the background is from the lain art book. enjoy

I was so excited at first because I thought you actually took photographs and overlayed them to create the background. I'm a little dissapointed that you didn't, because I really feel it would add a lot to the image.

Anyway, it does work very well together. And the abstraction of powerlines to create a web is a good use of imagery and metaphor. I don't think you need the top and bottom panels at all, as I feel the repetition to be excessive. Like you just felt you needed to fill the space. That's not really a good reason to put anything in a composition. I also agree with Ryoko about the colors, the saturation and the contrast are way too high.

I'm glad that you didn't add extraneous "techy type" or graphical watsahoodjits, and that you refrained from slapping a title on it.

Hmm, I really like it, but it would look a lot better if it was all blue instead of having the red at the top and bottom.
