For those who dont know this epic tv show ended this Friday. Been with it since the begining and now im pretty lost because dont know what to do in life anymore :p. Kidding but i gotta admit that its hard to find good quality tv show nowdays.

There were harsh and hard words in the begining for this show but it endured and proved such critics wrong with its originality, great story, awesome strategies and epic battles...

For those who havent seen it yet i gotta say that you miss a lot and let this show be next one in line for you to watch! (loads shootgun)

Those who might decide to watch, unfortunately might be confused of how seasons go so they might skip one season. I'll sacrafice my 15 seconds of life and write seasons in order :) :

Season 1: Blood and Sand (13 episodes)
Season 1.5: Gods of the Arena (6 episodes)
Season 2: Vengence (10 episodes)
Season 3: War of the Damned (10 episodes)

Unfortunately main actor who acts Spartacus gets replaced in season 2 because first one suffered from heavy illness and unfortunately died  RIP ANDY!

Neverthless new actor did amazing job and after just a few episodes you aknowledge him as a new spartacus (even tough its hard to forget the original one).

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KYRNt0TBZFo

This video is short clip of some epic fights that happen in spartacus. Some major details have been cut out, some fights not even included but still it can spoil some details if watched and if you decided to watch whole series :) Video is abscent 3rd season.

Regards

PS: Please restrain yourself of comments something like "Rome" tv show is better or any other comparison. Story is different and its retarded to compare tv shows that dont share same story; only thing they share is that its in the past...

Gaius Julius Caesar, the best general/Emperator.
Gaius Julius Caesar Army - 40000 or 80000 .. versus 1000000(one milion) Gauls(France). Caesar lost 5000 soldiers or 10000.. ..
Great Victory for Gaius Julius Caesar.
Great strateg.. nice strategy.

Not to mention there isn't a single battle where that happened. The Gallic wars had 120,000 Romans fight against 300,000 Gauls. The only place the million dead figure shows up is in Caesar's accounts, where he combines the number of civilians butchered with the people he actually fought.

Anyway, it's related in that Caesaar plays a role in the final season.

I only watched the show because of Gannicus. It wasn't that good of a show to begin with, especially since every pair of tits had to be balanced by 150 penii. It felt like watching gay porn at times.

Im sorry that you think like that. You pretty much were cought by those scenes that you actually criticize whole series by those scenes. Well its hard to satisfy every living man because when something isnt added they critisize, when something is added they critisize again.

Im not sure what you dont like actually there. How things rolled in past or that this tv show showed how thing were rolled in past. Such things did happen, romans did have such parties so why not to show it?

I actually love that they showed everything, and one of main reasons i loved this tv show because it wasnt restricted in such areas (blood, nudity, hard-core kills). I cant really say much because its your own oppinion but i find such thinking primitive; to judge something in complete just because of few parts

As I said, I watched the show for Gannicus. Why? Because he had the only interesting arc, with Gods of the Arena being the most interesting season.

Season 1 looked like a failed 300 clone, with some of the worst cgi I've ever seen in what was supposed to be a major show. I don't know why they decided 400 gallons of blood was necessary every single time someone got cut, but it took away from the show. Not much happened throughout the first season, which is to be expected as its an origin tale. It really only started getting good toward the last 1/3 of the season.

Gods of The Arena was tits, and had they simply made an Adventures of Gannicus show, I would have watched it religiously, because let's face it. He's the best character on the show.

Season 2 introduces us to a cancer-free version of Spartacus who was not only in worse physical shape than the former Spartacus, but was also a slightly worse actor. This is, in fact, a testament to how bad he is as the acting in season 1 outside of Batiatus and his wife was on par with what you'd find in a middle school play. Now that we're free of the arena, we're introduced to full-scale warfare in the form of Spartacus running into anyone wielding a sword, screaming, having time slow down, and then slashing someone with two swords while a fountain of blood in the form of a waterfall gushes out of a single man's body. Nevermind that Spartacus was basically a tactical genius, capable of outmaneuvering the most disciplined, well-trained and well-armed military ever to walk the face of the Earth up till that moment. No, in this show, Spartacus fights like an animal, and so does everyone else. Choreography was pretty shitty, the fighting was boring, and for whatever ******* reason, bullet time and 360 degree panning of the camera was used for literally everything. Someone takes a bite of bread? VWOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMM Aaaand we're at half speed. Why the ****? Oh, cool, slow motion penises. Yep, it's definitely waving to and fro. And its still going.

You have Crixus's chick, who I don't give 2 shits about getting rescued, and that makes Mr. I'm out of breath at all times happy. You have Spartacus asserting his dominance over his minions. All and all, not very good. Best thing about season 2? The German warrior princess with daggers. More of her, less of whats his face and his Syrian boyfriend.

Season 3 picked up the on the action and had larger set pieces, where we finally see Spartacus employ his intelligence, so that was nice. Crixus remains an idiot and dies an idiots death. Caesar gets raped by a 16 year old. Gannicus refuses to have leadership thrust upon his shoulders, because hes a badass. Caesar gets raped by a 16 year old. And then it all comes to a close in a final battle that didn't even resemble what actually occurred on that fateful day, but we got a boss fight out of it, so whatever. Better than season 2, about on par with season 1. Not equal to Gods of the Arena. Especially not after what they did to Gannicus.

Overall, if you think Spartacus was a good show, you have terrible taste and should watch Rome and Vikings, because they're shows of this genre done right.

Watched Rome and Walking Dead

Rome is great series but from my stand it could've had a bit more action or so to say war battles. Mostly was "we go to war" , next scene is where they are returning from war victorious. I enjoyed the most while first Cesar was active, story was interesting, just loved his performance. Unfortunately was kinda mostly bored with those two (even whole series is mostly about them)
Series kinda lost its spice when Cesar was assasinated and when other one took place (too lazy to write names).

About WalkingDead - im just not sure what to say about it. It has bunch of bad moments and good moments. I hate tv shows where they make characters so stupid as in where they make such decisions that you just want to kill them or that director...

Worst thing i found was in season 2 i think. They live in world of Zombies, you can die on every corner in any second but they live normally on open field, wash clothes somewhere where noone can save you if you get attacked and additionally let their child to wonder around alone. WTF!? If it was reality pretty much most would not leave 4 walls at all...

Havent watched last 2 episodes because i somehow lost interest in whole series because of those stupid decisions they make...

I watched seasons 1 and 2 of Walking Dead, and then realized the only person on that show who deserves to live is the guy with the crossbow.

Watch Vikings.

Well i love those crits you mentioned there but you have to take few things into consideration. Spartacus was a tv show that started with low budged (and was pretty much all the way) so they couldnt pull out much in effects area, but they did enough. Second thing is that they experimented and risked to try and make something that will make something as in fights example more epic. Somewhere they failed, somewhere they succeded.

Rome succeded because it just told the story of two guys and i would say side story from actual past that influenced world we know now. They didnt risk anything, they just shoot the scenes and thats it. I find that tv show only good just because story it was telling was actually good from the past. Some of your critics critisize actual story from the past. Well show had to show it so you can really actually say that going in mines was stupid...

Every tv show has its own parts to pull out as you did and make it look the worst tv show ever. Same goes for Rome, WD and Vikingz

Not to mention that you're personalizing me just because you have different oppinion and taste. Dont generalise quality of the show from your own perspective.

I enjoyed watching Spartacus. Gannicus was badass, kinda sucks what ends up happening with him.
Crixus was my favorite character though, he was in the whole series from beginning to end, pretty much. Too bad his lady was badshit crazy.
I really liked watching the final battle, Spartacus employs some great strategies. We all knew how it was going to end, they were vastly outnumbered.
It wasn't historically accurate, but hollywood never is. Gotta add a little entertainment value to it somehow.

I heard Vikings is a different kind of show altogether. Not a celebration of sex and violence, but a study of character, stamina, power and of social, emotional and even intellectual awakening.

I liked the show, but it felt like I was watching a gay porno at times. I swear to god, one of the episodes in Season 3 was like 40 minutes of nonstop intense-thrusting of gay sex, with like 10 minutes of killing Romans. I don't need any of the nudity that the show had, to be honest.

I agree with Zeo that season 1 went way overboard on the slow motion and blood effects, it was ridiculous and to the detriment of the show. I also miss the actor from season 1, I didn't like the new guy too much. Best season I think was season 1, followed by the prequel, followed by season 3, followed by season 2. Season 3 felt rushed, though. Also, I wanted the Romans to line up the rebel army and demand to know which one of them was Spartacus, instead they had a lame interpretation of that with the top rebels going around and claiming to be him.

Ah well, still a good show. Now I need to find something new to watch. Supposedly some of the guys behind this show are working on a sci fi show that follows a group of soldiers as they battle some alien species. Each season will take place on a new planet, I'm actually really excited about that.

I liked the way they did the "I AM SPARTACUS" thing this time around as it gave them a tactical advantage in being multiple places at once, making it seem as if Spartacus was a force of nature conjured by the Gods. Crassus saw right through it, obviously, but it had everyone else fooled.

Well show left some kind of base that one day might emerge into new series that follows Ceasers rise, Marcus Crassuss fall and Pompei. Would definitely love to see it even though that story is known to me

Too bad that words from D.Knight were "Thats highly unlikely to happen" :/
