sound prob

hey guys my sound seems to be off like by 4 seconds.. for instance me goku and starts kame now then says ka(indicated by dot) :. .ka .me .ha .me:fires
whats up with that ... thats the most details i can give out cuz i dont know whats goin on

I dont really understand your problem, but I think that has happened before, mainly when I get a lot of lag, the Cl_FlushENtityPacket error message, or when my older PC decides to crap out. Do you get bad lag, or is it usually all smooth, except for the sound? Do you have an older, less powerful computer? A bad/"no name" sound card? If it is your connection, I dont know what to say. You may try tweaking some stuff with your sound card, such as updating its drivers. Sorry I can't help much, but I hope this might have helped you understand what might be causing it.

It could be you soundcard, try updating its drivers. If that doesnt work, if you happen to have a friend that would be willing test that out. Switch out soundcards and see what happens. I sometimes have a delay of sound, but it only happens when I leave the game time to time. Actualy, now that I think about it, my onboard sound had latency in it, AC97 is what its called in system. If you happen to have that, only fix for you is buying a new card.

i got pII so taht might be it but like ill be playin cs and it runs fine .. my ping isnt too bad its norm in the 100s to low 90s .. but if it is my sound card how come it isnt delaying in cs or any of the other mods i play? ... err im a newb newb to computer stuff... i have no clue what kinda sound card vid card or even how much hard drive this machine has

The mp3 player in esf may be causing your problem if no other mods cause it.

how can i turn it off? but like i stop it in game and it still seems to have the delay on the sounds

I dont think you can turn it off, its coded into the mod it self.

i think if u delete all the music files in the playlists it will not start at all and not cause probs

OR, before you do soemthing like deleting files, you could try simply turning the music off in game, try pushing the f8 button.

but simply turning it off doesnt stop it from playing wich sounds like whats causing his problems...
