First of all, i just got the 1.1 version last night, and i was amazed. Especially when i compare it to Bid for Power..
You are really doing a great job making this mod, and i hope you don't give up halfway through like a lot of the other DBZ mods.

Even though i think the mod is great there are a few things i am not satisfied about. Note that i am not flaming, just suggesting improvements.

- When you ascend when playing as Cell, the second form model looks decent, but he actually grows smaller in size. o_O
Make him bigger when he ascends, like in the series.

- When you fly you don't move much faster than when you are walking. I think flying should be a lot faster, otherwise flying won't give that many advantages. I understand that you get faster when getting a higher powerlevel, but a little more speed would be welcome. This would also improve the gameplay in my opinion, because it would then be possible to flee from the battle, and play "hide and seek" just like it happens often in the series.

- The boost doesn't make that much of a difference when it comes to speed. Make this a litlle faster too, perhaps at the expense of more Ki energy being used.
Also, make it so that the boost button can be held down for a while, and when you let go you'll not boost anymore. Personally i find it a little annoying that i have to switch it on and off. ;/

- The powerstruggles are excellently done.. :laff:
But besides that, i think that it would be even better if there were some sparks flying off, lightflashes etc etc..

- When you fly to the farthest part of the map and look back, a lot of the map will become transparant. This is REALLY annoying, because everytime you get knocked to the edge of the map, everything will seem screwed up. Either fix this problem, or make the map smaller so you can't get into the part of the map where everything goes transparant.
NOTE- I don't know if everybody has this problem, perhaps i only do. If so, disregard.

- I've seen more people complain about the fact that powerlevel raises a lil' slow. I think it shouldn't raise too fast because then the server will be full of uber ssj's and the like in 5 minutes, but a little faster would be nice.

- MAKE AN EVIL MAJIN BUU MODEL/OPTION!!! :devgrin:
You know, the one you see when evil buu has eaten majin buu. The tall one with only the white pants with the belt with the "M" on it. (Anybody still with me? o_o )
His attacks could be exactly the same as the Buu already in the game, with perhaps one different attack. Like the one he uses to kill the people on earth with. When he sticks up his and and shoots out multiple pink rays. It could be made so that when you charge it you have to stand still and when you release you still have to stand still but you'll release 5-6 of these pink rays wich are "heat seeking". His second transformation could be the one where he has the Gotenks fusion vest on, and a longer headtail..

-Even though i've allready seen it on the forum multiple times, i still want to mention it. Make it so that you can ascend at least 2 times.

- Include android 17 and 18. Even though they don't transform in the series, it still be possible to make them a match by letting their powerlevel increase faster. 17 and 18 would have more or less the same attacks. Their KI would also decrease less rapidly because they are androids, and like in the series, don't get exhausted fast.

- I really like the way the dragon appears when you make a wish, but it would really be complete if you'd temporarily exchange the skybox of the map with a really dark and cloudy sky, like in the series.

- It would be great if the explosions would cause huge dust patches. That way if you'd dodge a beam, you could hide in the dust and blast back from there, with your opponent still wondering where exactly you are. Afer a few seconds they would disapear.

- It would look great if you teleport there would be a transparant image of you back at the place you were before, like when goku does an instant translocation in the movies.

- Perhaps the option to surpress your powerlevel like in the series would be cool too. You'd be able too fool enemies like that, and you'd not be picked up as easily on the scouter radar.


These where my suggestions, and if other people have some, feel welcome to add to the list. Hope these are of use, and again, these are just suggestions..

Yeah I've never really liked either of the cell models. He looks too much like a toy.

Needs a bit of buffing up and longer legs I think.

i think you could have answered nearly all your questions by using the search button :rolleyes:

until a later release (not 1.2) they only have 1 transformation, so no other buus until then.

They cant make cell too much bigger, else the model would be out of preportion. I think he looks fine as it is.

Flying is fine, and turbo is in no need of being made faster. Have you tried transforming then swooping ? When you get good at melee, you'll find your suggestion for the swoop being faster would be kinda dumb

The game is for full action, not camping or hiding. Compressing your PL will probably never be included.

I believe Harson is working on teleport images or something like that. Try to keep up to date with his dev.

If there was loads of dust, it would slow servers and the game (your fps) down pretty bad. Swoop trails do enough damage, let alone half a maps full

Androids have been mentioned countless times, search is there for a reason.

As for the accending, it will be included. The team have to make new skins, new animation, new sprites new this that and the other. So, be patient they are doing this for free, and if they want to take a year to finish 1.2, then its up to them, not the public.

are you talking the grey one? if thats the case its buu's second form in the game

The supressing power level has been discussed before. And I think(i might be wrong) it was considered useless because even if you could hide your pl you would still be seen on the scouter. And this game was made for fast paced action. Not hide and seek.

i like the dragon idea with the sky turning black

much dust..... i think half life engine couldnt handle that..... and it would cost a lot of ping but would be a nice idea :)

First of all to JonesDaniel:

The cell model is not fine as it is. When you ascend from the first form to the second form, the model actually gets smaller. What's fine about that? In the series he gets bigger and more muscular. I believe cells second form is even bigger than the perfect one.. so.. the second should be at least a little bigger than the first form. (Like they did with freeza.)
The cell model in his first form looks good though..

Second, i suggested normal flying (when not fighting anybody and pressing "F")
would be made faster, not the swoop.. if you would have taken 2 seconds to correctly read that you would find that the suggestion was not so very dumb.. :S
When they fly in the series (especially with boost on) they fly very fast. Even when they are not fighting anybody. Currently, if you don't need to get to higher ground, you might as well walk. Therefore: make flying or the boost when flying a lil' faster.

Also, i didn't mention that the team was taking too long making the mod, and the new ascensions. I merely wanted to mention again that they really should be included to make the game complete.

To 8-bit fighter:

I mean the majin buu in my avatar pic.. but i think it would be best if he was a seperate player instead of the current buu's ascension. Start out with the one in my avatar, he ascends to the one with Gotenks' fusion vest on and the longer headtail, and then Kid Buu. (for example)

Anyway, forget about the hiding your PL thingie then.
But here are a few more:

-Give saijans the ability to ascend in a matter of seconds like in the series. When ascending in 1.1 it takes an awfull lot of time to get there, and you get damaged a lot half of the time.
I think they did a cool job having the characters each ascend in a different way, but when i have to see trunks fall to his knees in agony before going sjj for the 5th time, it gets kinda annoying, feel me?
Make a different button that only saijans have that will transform them in let's say 2 seconds. (In the series they do it like that too.) If someone wants to make the dramatical ascend, that would be still possible with the normal buttons. To make sure that saijan players don't get a big advantage, make it so that the quick ascension costs a certain amount of KI energy.

-Perhaps the camera could turn around the player when he is making his ascend.

If you have that many suggestions, maybe you should make more than one thread out of it.
Anyways: Most of this has been suggested before several times.
Concerning hide&seek: Of course this happened in the shows, but this is not what ESF is about. It wouldn't be as much fun as now if everybody was just hiding.

i DID read your post correctly. Geez. But if they made the flying faster, then they would have to speed the swoop up. They didn't have a technique called swoop on the t.v. show, but they do on the game. :rolleyes: its called thinking ahead....

As for cell, i have already answered it...maybe your the one that should consider reading posts properly?...

I know you didn't mention anything about the teams, i was simply saying that you have to give them time, and its true that most of those could have been answered with

Anyway, more suggestionZ:

- A zoom function!!!
It would not have to be able to zoom in REALLY far, but just so you can scout the landscape for your enemy. Right now i often have trouble finding someone after i pounded him halfway across the map (or vica versa :rolleyes: ) or when i respawn. It would also be handy when trying to aim your attack, wich are often shot from such distances that without the enemy being on the ground and taking splash damage, are often missed.
If it is not too hard, it would be cool if the enlarged zoom picture was located in your scouter, perhaps an extra zoom mode or something.. that way you could check out the opponent far away, and still check out your own immediate enviroment. If the entire screen would zoom in, you couldn't be on the watch for incoming fire.

- Dust patches when you get smacked into the ground. When you get smacked in the way that you leave a lill' crater, the dust animation that is used for powering up could be used for perhaps 1 second. That way it would seem that your crash made the dust circle outwards.
Also, the dust trail you leave when swooping could be used when you are sent rolling over the ground after being hit. I think that would look really cool. I understand that too much dust would slow everything down, but just for 1 or 2 seconds. The same goes for being smacked into the water, or sent flying over it of course.. :D

- Change vegeta's renzokuken attack (many ki balls in fast order) in such a way that you don't have to charge balls. It would be a better and more realistic attack if you could fire them right away. The line that normally indicates how far you have to charge before you can fire, would now be put further away, and if you'd cross that line while firing the attack, vegeta would be exhausted and unable to move for 3(?) seconds. You would be able to keep firing beyond that line, (until the bar that is normally the charge bar is full) but the more you fire beyond that point, the longer you would be exhausted and unable to move. To make sure this doesn't become too big an advantage, it would cost more KI than the normal KI balls attack.

-Make it so that when an attack hits the end of the map where it is SKY, it doesn't explode but dissapears! I find it incredibly annoying that when i hover high above the ground and dodge an incoming kamehamea, it still explodes and gives me splash damages because it hits the "roof" of the map, even though it is "actually" the sky. ;(

NOTE:warning:- I don't know ~exactly~ what has been suggested before and what not. I know i could use the search button, but many things have been suggested before. These are just my ideas.. so if you think you don't need to discuss it anymore.. don't.
