damn n00bs the code was leaked a month ago! this BETA which was released today by 'anonymous' is a playable hl2 game. Its NOT the homepade HL2 games around but over at neowin.net there seems to be some screenies for you guys! the Image is 1.5GB!!!

Half life 2 was going to be delayed anyways, Value will be using the hackers as an excuse so nothing new there. Dont blame the hackers on delaying things it was going to be delayed anyways.

It has just been confirmed by valve that those are just rumors, it didnt leak out on the internet and isnt delayed to april, if you dont believe me go to www.planethalflife.com and look at the mainpage.Forgot to mention that there is some part of the game floating around the internet but thats it.

I don't think so because what I was told is that there would not come a beta, besides the game is to far to release a beta of it, beta's are usually for testing on bugs and stuff, but I don't think there is one.

Anty the beta is out! it was leaked and YES it is the game which you can play etc. www.neowin.net has some screenshots and some info on this. I know its been leaked because its all over the net already. This ISNT the sourcode but unofficial beta which is the playable Half life 2 game

This is a low, a major low. I myself have pirated 'things' often, but to break into someone's computer and actually steal the code. God, those people a ****ing shameless, theres no other way to describe them.

As for the beta, I have sources, I havn't heard anything nor saw any files from the 'release' of this build. I wont download it even if it is true out of respect to Valve. ****ing shameless people...

The source code was leaked. Valve already said that this would not cause the game to be pushed back. Vivendi said the release date was being pushed back before and valve had to correct them the day after. I would just wait and untiten those undies.

For those of you who keep asking, I'll clarify a few things.

Valve reported that the SOURCE CODE for HL2 had been hacked about a week ago.

Just in the last few days, it has come to light that they did not just get the source code, but a few maps and gameplay code as well. These hackers have managed to mash these files they hacked and made something that is playable. This is the "beta" that has been leaked.
