Shuts down when creating a room

are you playing with CS retail? IF you are, then move esf to the CS folder,
if youa ren't maek sure you have Half-Lief 1.1.1.0

Do you have a legal version of Half-Life, meaning you bought it?

That is your problem, now you must go out and purchase Half-Life,it is pretty cheap
and don't bother asking for cd-keys, the forum mods will get really mad at you.

ok i have the real one but it still doesnt work and what is CS

ok here is the thing that i do

1:I load up Half-life
2:click custom game and load up ESF
3:click mutiplayer
4:then i click Lan game, then Create game
5:it loads to a screen that says ESF along the top, after that it just shuts down..

CS=Counter STrike, don't worry about it, seeming you have Half LIfe
and try connecting to internet games, but make SURE your video mode is not software, try doing others but LAN games and report back

alright, and if you dont know how to change video modes, (sorry forgot to tell earlier, plus I am posting to prevent you from having to double post) open half life, go to configurations, video, video modes, that is where you switch it

it says that it is out of date so do you have tup date for it because the uptade for me will not work

Alright you have everything in order BUT you need Half Life version 1.1.1.0, go to www.fileplanet.com and search for it, then install it, and you SHOULD be able to play it, if not report back

If it crashes as soon as beams, discs, or any other thing appears, but you could walk around BEFORE it happened, its probably your videocard. I had an All-in-Wonder card and ESF crashed everything someone started to beam or disc.
