When i search for servers i only find 5 servers? is this correct or should there be more?

Nop. There a not so many esf servers now... Maybe when ESF 1.3 comes out there will be more of them ^^

im having some trouble at the moment. im not sure what version of ESF I have but i'm guessing i have 1.2.3 . when i search for servers here from south africa, i cant seem to find any. what can i do to find a server?

You need STEAM. No STEAM = no servers ^^

That or you are filtering out the servers with the settings.
