Really if it's going to be chargeable there should be some kind of advantage to it over just firing a bunch of little ki blasts and forming a half assed ki blob. Why not allow us to charge it longer like we'd charge a beam for some massive numbers? You can make it like Piccolo's scatter shot and just not form any blobs if you wanted to, but let us charge up and throw higher numbers of them, so that they'd be useful against opponents who were darting around trying to swoop at you or for carpet bombing a room full of people. 6 just isn't anything special.

I mean there are two things going on here: A.) There's the fun factor, and B.) There's the application. I cannot see any meaninful application to the kame torpedos. I can't see them being useful in melee unless you could smash someone and then fire a bunch you already set up ahead of time, or set them up like mines in the air. It just isn't a very useful attack. However, it looks like it'd be fun to goof around with, or toss around on a laid back server. Same goes for the little spirit bomb more or less; I can't see any useful application of a projectile with such a small explosion which could easily be dodged or deflected by anyone with eyes. Now when everybody heard that the Renzoku Dan technique was being fitted into Vegeta's arsenal, a lot of us saw the renzoku dan as it appeared on the show: A huge volley of ki blasts. Now that would be fun, right? To take like 10 seconds to charge up a nice 20 to 30 weak volley of ki blasts? You could trace people in the air and then could try to dodge the attack, or you could use them on somebody who was charging up an attack, or was too close to the ground, or even on the ground, and it'd look cool too. Now with 6 ki blasts as it is now, it doesn't take all that long to charge but it only gives you the advantage of not having sit there and fired off ki blasts one at a time. What kind of advantage is that? I guess it's decent in that your opponent wont see a ki blob coming... but it only forms a small ki blob. On top of that you can't teleport while charging it, which is obviously a negative point about the technique. I mean in the words of Simon from American idol, "So what?" Some attacks have great applications or are really fun to make use of, and some are just "So what?"

So I pose the quesion to you now. So what?

I'll bring this up in the next team meeting, going to suggest bumping it up to 9+ blast, and some other improvements...

I agree with you guys, i don't really like to use the attack (i dont really like to use vegeta either, lol), it drains all my KI, and I usually get my ass handed to me before I can make any use of it. If i do hit anyone with it, its only like 2-3 i blast...

The Kame torpedos, I dont think thats really made to be used as a live battle type of weapon. Its suppose to be one of those things you set up, and then lets say someone is powering up on the ground, you can send acouple at him. Since they are KAME torpedos they are hella powerful, 2 or so should take someone out. I'm sure you guys will find plenty of uses for them. Think of them like mines, but you can direct them.

Also, In my opinion, I think gokus secondary spirit bomb ( earth spirit bomb ) is the new best weapon. Its smaller, charges faster then the big one, takes no ki, and you can actually use it without getting your ass handed to you. Very nice weapon...

But damn, thanks for putting my ass in line Sonic Boyster, I've been kinda out of it, but now its all good. I'm so excited about coding the new beta 1.2 melee system :) I can almost guarantee you guys will like it, well, atlease more then the current system ;)

Well thanks for clearing up that the kame torpedos actually do some decent damage. We weren't really sure what they were there for. So with all that enthusiasm I'm willing to bet you've scribbled out a few ideas for the new melee system already. I wont bug you about though, as I'm sure you wont want to share that with little ol' me. I have faith in the beta testers... well except for the ones that O.K.ed the current Renzoku Dan. Silly fellas. Anyway, we'll all be gripping our seats and waiting for that massive melee overhaul that'll take the most critical aspect of the game and renovate it from the inside out. Yep. That one thing that will absolutely make or break the beta. Yup... a good melee system is what will seperate us from DMZ and ESF 1.1 . Yep. No pressure there, no, none at all.

Thanks for all the hard work Joe, we appreciate it.

renzoku isnt too bad at the moment... fairly good charge time and you cant see the person charging the attack.

if the renzoku is powerful enough you would be able to pretend you dont notice people getting ready to fire a beam at you, and then fire the renzoku at the enemy to slow down his beam and give you time to charge another attack to hit him with. :p

someone said earlier that the reason theres only 6 is cos of balance... why not make each ki ball half as strong and have twice as many?

its 'constructive crtisism' -- (sp?)

i like the kame torpedos personally.. i think they will be fun to set up and catch a guy with his pants down..

small spirit bomb?? yaa goku basically gets a ball attack that takes 0 ki (one that charges up fast unlike big spirit bomb).. shoot ball follow up with khh.. Oo

maybe it could be like sonic boystar said earlier, he could go into a rage, kind of like a power up but with like twice the power boost and throw 9 or 10 of em with a decent blast radius and fairly low damage,

also, the beta 1.1 preview looks awesome and I can't wait to play all the new features, keep the awesome work up guys, I know I appreciate it :)

Hmmmm....I already have an idea of setting them like mines,hopefully they do not detonate when someone bumps into them,because that would be spam galore for those who love to BS and leave a KHH beam floating in the air.....ouch I can see it now

But then I might be wrong and be branded ƒoƒJ

well, im just glad that the kiblasts have a tail.
instead of firing what looks like eggs. the rez would look ridiculous with that.
6...well thats ok, though chances of it doing too much damage is nil....but hey, you can always fire a g beam at the kiblob to add more.

hmm primary attack is 6 renzoku shots, and the secondary is normal ki blasts? could just change the secondary to a longer charge but more powerful with a few more renzoku shots and the primary is like a quick shot thats weak.

Hmm i kinda like that idea, make the secondary a little faster then the normal ki blasts secondary (kinda like the BFP rezoku) and then make the primary charge shoot like 6 really fast or 10 or twelve or whatever number.

It looks cool, but honestly i was expecting abit more than 6 blasts, c'mon, i cant do that in 2 seconds with my normal ki blobs. They should make it more when you go SSJ and put turbo on, sorry for complaining but 6 is such a weka number for such a weak attack, well im done complaining :)
