One screenshot was released for the Wii resident evil game.

Any RE fan can tell its a room in RE1, where you push the ladder around the room into the right place to climb it and get the mansion map from ontop of the statue. I hope this doesn't mean another RE1 remake, I would much rather see an RE2 remake :\ .

September 13, 2006 - In this week's Famitsu magazine, the publication revealed in their Wii section some mention about a new Biohazard game, entitled Biohazard: Umbrella Chronicles. Dubbed as an action game headed by Kawada Masachika, the man who was responsible for the PS2 port of Resident Evil 4, the game's story and characters have yet to be revealed, you can probably take a few guesses as to who's going to show up based on the title of the game.

The article reveals very little about the title, even to suggest that the game will somehow make use of the Wii's remote to manipulate your weapons. I suppose that's something. So far there has been little details about the game so far, and the screenshots that were included with Famitsu's preview make everything even more confusing; one screenshot depicts what seems like an old fashioned dining hall much like the one from the first Resident Evil game, as well as a door that's been blown to bits by some sort of weapon.

More information will most likely be available at the Tokyo Game Show next week, so keep checking back for updates soon!

This article was posted last week, which means that the Tokyo Game Show has started I believe. If anything I think it started today since I remember seeing something about it on Attack of the Show of G4tv.

yep..id recognize that weird shaped statue anywhere....maybe telling RE1 from someone elses pov? personally i too would want to see an Re2 remake on the GC....i was so dissappointed when they released re2/3 on the gc and found out that they just ported it to the new system..no new graphics or anything

It's supposed to be remakes of certain events in Zero-1-2-3-CE-4 to give more information on Umbrella's rise, fall, and rebirth. So in a sense, it's remakes of all the main games with RE4 controls, but not the WHOLE games like some REmake collection.

At least, thats what the GameFAQS forum is mentioning as of late as the truth behind it.

But still, as one of, if not the biggest RE fan on this board, I must buy this on launch day regardless if it's just another remake or not.

i second that...iv beaten all regames (except 4...just havent been pluggin in the gcube to play) many many times....quickest time was on re3 in just under 1 hour at 57 minutes and 30 some od seconds

I highly doubt it is a remake...they already remade it for GCN. I bet it's probably from umbrellas point of view, or just a "What if" kind of story if like - umbrellas succeeded in pwning S.T.A.R.S.

Honestly 4's story was less then impressive imo, but the gameplay was spot on.

Only part of the story i liked in 4 was the krauser part, it actually fit, but the ending "You picked up special RPG use it on the boss!" wtf...

RE Wii will feature locales and characters from many previous RE games.
