QUAKECON 2010

Greetings my fellow ESF fans and developers! Quakecon is coming up August 12-15!
Thousands of gamers will flock to Dallas Texas, where the biggest gaming event of all time will be taking place.
It has been described as the Woodstock of gaming! It's 4 days of peace, love, and rockets! :devil:
I will definitely be going, and bringing my PC the BYOC. And taking many pictures of course.
Admission is free, you just gotta work out your travel expenses, lodging, food, etc.

GDC, E3 and Leipzig are game conventions where companies show off their latest products. From what I understand, Quakecon is the biggest LAN party around. Correct me if I am wrong, though.

I'm detecting a little bit of sarcasm here, could be 'cause your laying it on pretty thick.

Ya I dun know about those others, but I believe E3 is not something you can just walk into.
E3 is for the gaming industry to show off their latest goodies to the press.

Whereas Quakecon, anyone can go and check it out. And yes its basically a massive LAN party.
But its also so much more, you will get to see first looks at Id Softwares latest game "Rage".
Also there will be Tournaments for cash prizes, all kinds of crazy gamers to frag!
I heard this year is gonna be the biggest and best ever!

Nah, actually the whole event is free, they make their money on the parking. $18 bucks a day x 7,000 people give or take x 5 days. hmmmm.

It was great! I met some really cool peoples, schooled some clan folks, also took alot of great pics!
