I guess I fall into the requirements, so I'll go ahead and stick myself in as well.
Just bought HL2 myself, and I don't think it's necessary to describe how well it runs on a Geforce FX 5200. I'm definately going to need to get myself an upgrade for my Source endeavors and... exploitations.
It sounds like there are some others that are in a bit more dire need than myself though, so don't place myself above any of them if I'm to be considered.

Why should I win? I try to help people out on the forums if they need help, I've tought more people how to play ESF then I can count, people I know consider me a nice person, and I <3 Smith (Ass kissing for the win!).

As for my computer, lets just say this: I can't play Doom III since I get less then 10 fps on the second lowest setting (and this is after tweaking Doom III).

I think I deserve it because I'm pretty active on the boards, been around for about a year now, and I find myself answering a lot of questions new people come here and ask (⌐.⌐ even though it's the same questions -.-') On the boards I think I'm nice, I try to be.

I also think I should get it because my computer is good. But it came with a crappy video card. GeForce 5200.

Hehehe, well, I'll give this ago. Aside from the fact that I've been on these forums for many years, and have been a moderator longer than I was a normal member, I believe, I'm a decent guy. I try my best to be fair in decisions, and I only say bad things about Dask behind his back ;P Also, my sob story beats all yours ;P

PIII 933 Mhtz with a voodoo 5 PCI. I bought it the week before NVidia announced it was buying out 3DFX, and would no longer be supporting the Voodoo line of cards. Since then I've had nothing but trouble running a lot of games since voodoo is based on Glide, and not open GL. People complain about being lucky to get a decent round of ESF, but I can't even run ESF at an acceptable frame rate since my card chokes to death on all the open space. Not to mention my drivers and the setup program don't work on XP and I'm using some third party drivers, which I can't configure to lower the detail settings more so I can get better FPS. Oh yeah, and wicked GL doesn't work with steam, so I can't even use that to make my FPS better.

I have a better card so I suppose i'll share my thoughts (if you don't want this sorry...i'll delete it or something), but it seems that perhaps Dave or Kardde seem to be the most deserving - even though one of them was rather rude to me before, but I won't say who.

Ive been banned so i have no say, but i read David's post and my vote goes to him. Just a suggestion, if you have no way of grading these people, i think you shoul let the fourm people decide. Do this by opening another thread of narrowed down people and let pepople vote. Just a suggestion.

Hm, I deserve it because I am one of old members on this comunity. Never been banned, Warned 2 times in total.
I do not spend much time on any games besides World of Warcraft , And with my current card it runs quite low.
I've been into art/2d textures for over three years , and I sometimes do model textures (depending the model).

By the way , Current card : Ge Force 4 Mx 420.

Should be all that matters.

You really should consiter checking up on your behaviour. Either you don't really know who is actually registered on these boards, or you are just a plain idiot. Stop kissing his ass , and insulting others while your at it .

Smith if you are gunna let one person in that was banned and not the others, thats no good. Be fair to everyone dont single out people and let one person in that was banned but you know him so you let him in and not the others. Remove the rule or dont let banned people in, its only fair.

Could you please read 2 posts above yours? This is not an "elect who should get the card," it's a drawing. I will draw 3 names out of a hat. Saying someone should get something won't make their name float to the top no matter how much you shout it.

I know it's a nice thing to say, and I know how you feel trying to help someone who's worse off than you, but please, just do as I ask.

My current card is the gf4 ti4600 128 meg. Games i try to play on are usually slugish and dont run good. With all these new games comeing out all I can do is just watch because my card cant handel the new graphics. I do work and wish i could buy myself a card buy my parents fell anything i make should not go to my computer at all. They hate the fact that i own a computer for startes and will not let me buy anything or put anyting into it to make it better.
I try to help out were i can, i been in esf community for 2 or more years and have never been banned or warned to my knowing. I would be very thankfull if i was given the card. I also think it is very very nice of you to give a card away when you can easly sell it and make 50$ for it on ebay.

I currently don't even have a graphics card. I have intel integrated graphics. I can't even play some of the most popular games, not to mention the newest ones coming out. I have been a good member of the boards for close to two years now, and I wub joo, and hope you give me this, because having no graphics card sucks ass.
