Thanks. Yeah my teacher won a billion awards and stuff. he has them hanging up all over his room. He basically taught us to just not let them over lap and go inside the drawing (i have like 1 or maybe 2 inside the drawing but auto cad wouldnt have it any other way) i think its fun just to do some stuff is a challenge like what im doing right now. its a reel. :D luckily its symmetrical so i can mirror it >:D

If you wan't i can post a few other drawings/parts im working on (i call them drawings, dunno what you would call them)

I've been Taking Computer Aided Drafting for 3 years this year we design and build our own houses. We have done a couple of drafts for Car companies. Have you got into the 3D part of Auto CAD yet? Most people find it hard but its pretty simple

No i started Auto cad this year. its a full year course. These 2 kids in the class just sit on the other side of the room with house blue prings and make them on auto cad though. They are really good.

I wont get into the 3-d part for a while. im still learning the commands and how to make things such as you see above. But i have seen what auto cad can do and its pretty cool.

at the end of the year we are going to design and build what ever we want. most people signed up to build a guitar (same reason :) )

three years is a long time thats awsome. This is my favorite class so far in my school. It's cool being able to make pictures that look exactly like in the book, with the correct dimentions. right now im learning all the commands. (there are soo many its hard remembering them all)

Yeah when i first got in it we did just regular Blueprints on Paper. I hate Dimensioning on paper. For one Final Exam we had to draft a car then make it in Auto CAD

awsome. my friend took this class last year. he said he had to actually draw and dimention stuff on paper. we didnt do that. we started with using auto cad the first day.

anyway here is an update, this was really easy just circles fillets and offsetting. thats it lol

yeah i was supposed to scale it down so it would fit inside the border. but i didn't yet. also its easier to see.
