Every game has this.
StarCraft II had a release date of 2008 on BestBuy, Walmart, ectera, right when it announced, then changed to 2009, 2010, ect.

Blizzard has not released any date to anyone yet.
This is what Bashiok from blizzard said..
"Hah. So Amazon.de has the super secret inside scoop of release dates and Amazon.com doesn't? That's rich. Why would we tell any retailer a release date? Let alone a German specific outlet of a single retailer?Retailers will find out the release date the same time you do."

There you have it.. If you really want to know the release date for Diablo 3 check spike TV on December 10th for a possible reveal of the release date when they receive there Gamer God Award.
