Make sure you are running version 1.1.1.0 of Half-Life, and Version 1.0 (beta) of ESF.

If these conditions are met, then you need to have a proper fmod.dll, which reinstalling ESF should be able to do.

Hmmm....If you made it more clear i could answer knowing whats wrong, but i think you need the latest halflfife version (1.0.0.0) get it from here
