Please help me, I can´t play esfb 1.2.3!!!!

Hi, I installed esfb 1.2.3 and I just wanted to play it. But when I clicked on "Create Server", and then wanted to play, there was an error with Steam:"No detail texture mapping file:maps/evm_ice_detail.txt
"couldn´t exec banned.cfg"
"No auth servers parsed"
"Disabling Valve Authentication"
"STEAM authentication required to connect to internet servers"


Please Anybody help me, cause I really love this game.:cry::cry:

hm, try adding r_detailtextures "0" to your config.cfg

Go to your ESF foulder.

Open the file named config.cfg (you can use any text editor)

Find the line named "r_detailtextures"

And set the value in that line to "0"

He aint using steam. these problems usually happen on Won version of HL.

The only way for you to be sure nothing will hapen to your PC is to download through STEAM. But to do taht you have to OWN a Half Life. Meaning you have to buy it first.
