Playing on linux

anyone know if I can just take the files from the installer and plop them into my half life folder like I would in windows?

No, because linux doesnt use .dll files.

And since STEAM didnt support those in the past, those files dont exist for 1.2.3

You can always try using Wine or CrossOver, but results may vary.

Should work with wine and using Open GL.
