Asus Laptops seem to be pretty good, I've bought a couple, one for my mom and another for one of my cousins.

This is one of Asus's newer models it's using the core I5 cpu and has a dedicated video card.

i got my laptop with 500$ and it plays games but it mainly helps me with the work i have to do.My father has a laptop with 2500$ but its crap :)So i suggest you getting a good laptop in a low price.
