I've noticed a silhoutte trend in your photography lately, and the noticable message being that the dumpster says, "Gruel Construction."

The rest of the pic is the construction, which gives it a nice metaphorical aspect.

I was about to say the same thing before I read your post hwoarang. silhouets all the time lately. the quality is once again good. however I think you should try something else. in my oppinion your last work is a bit of the same. not saying it's bad. but try something else maybe?

Personally, I don't understand the title and how it relates to the piece. It is a nice picture, but the title doesn't scream anything to me. I can't find a connection.

A photo can mean things for different people..Some people may not care and some people may look deeper into it and find a meaning. I like this one but The silhouet thing is getting old..try something hard like water. Like capturing water splash on the ground..like a rain drop.

heh i havent shot anything lately cept a large amount of silhouettes about a month ago, ur getting all the old stuff ;P

I do agree though. I myself am getting tired of silhouettes..

But, to connect the title to the photo...look what he is holding..a tripod..if a photographer is in a gruel and unusual spot(you do that to get a good shot..) then you'll have your tripod handy..any good photographer has it if you've ever saw one.

But totally agreein on the silhouette myself

Devion, it can be anything you want it to be. I was portraying the grueling aspects of photography. I know I need to explain myself allll the time whenever I post something.

I guess no one wants to think about it...

wudda been a lot better if there was a little light falling on one side of the silhouettem but other than that the composition is nice, and the way it is presented also, nice work man i like it :]

you all dont see the art in these pictures, you may have a photoalbum with 100 of pictures, but i bet none of em are anythig like tim's

theres a feel for composition, lighting, shuttertime, and of course a meaning to it, its not something you do all day with your cheap lil digital family camera

even tough you've seen em alot by now, silhouttes arent just different, they have a meaning too ya know, it makes the person look unknown, and people relate things that they cant see/identify something to danger or fear. wich this picture shows.

Most ppl have photoalbums with pictures of themselves and/or friends and stuff, those are JUST photos, but a photo which a photographer makes (like Tim) has more meaning, it is not to just show urself on a pic doing a salto so you wont forget it, but tim makes photos differnt...liker this photo, i see the person in the middle like a dark cold person cos of his sillouet, and thats my oppinion, everybody has differnt oppinions about art/photographs
