That's a cool concept, wont be long until computers are that simplified.

But computers already are that simplified. Need more GFX power. Take out the GFX card and put in a new one.

Yes and no. Computer have always had parts you can swap in and out.
But what I mean is that extremely simple module that anyone could replace.
Not everyone is comfortable with computers to go replacing parts.
If this concept were applied to computers, it would pretty well make hardware technicians obsolete.

It would also lower the data transfer rates. Remember PCs are built to have the shortest possible distance for the data to travel and thus reducing the data travel time as much as possible.

A system like this would increase that time and would make computers with this system slower compared to the normal ones with the exact same specs.

In a way though that is how Razer's Project Christine intends to work. Have a look at this: http://www.razerzone.com/gb-en/switchblade-ui

Personally I think it's hideous and it takes the fun out of building a PC.

Lol. Nice idea, but that smile of excitement of mine faded away when I saw the date: October 2013.
So looks like it didn't turn out well, dats sad. I slowpoked through everything again)
