AMD all the way
AMD has speed and power
the new AMD 2.8 can beat the pentium 3.0
saw it on a benchmark test

amd

but I would wait since there a new type of processor comming from pentium, the revolutionary thing about it is that it can take more processes at the time instead of one by one. And if ur gonna buy a totally new comp buy a gf fx card

Normally i would say AMD. But with the new hyper-threading technology that Intel is working on I would have to say Pentium w/ hyper-threading.

I feel bad now for betraying AMD.

Well HT Tech is not all wut it is cracked up to be.. HT only works in XP, cause when in 2000 it slows the processes down.. Intel can only be better in Apps and decode a lil faster.. AMD has the upper had for overclocking and Games... AMD ownz j00...

The pentium 5 is supposed to be coming out this summer... I have pentium 4. The AMD Athlon is faster than pentium but they bust fast... I had 2 computers with AMD's and one with a Pentium and the AMD's died within the first 2 years and I've still got the old Pentium 1. So quality wise I'd stick wi the Pentium!
