hey, i need help. whenever i try to play halflife, a black fuzzy haze grows really big over the screen and i cant see anything thats going on at all. it starts up right when the sierra screen shows up. i uninstalled/reinstalled twice already and didnt help at all. someone told me to not use the software mode and to change to opengl in my video settings in steam. but i dont have steam, i just have something called wonswap.

So, how do i change to opengl without steam, can i change to opengl with wonswap (if its like steam) and what is wonswap? i need to know bad. :cry:

Use steam, and I think if you ad -gl to the command line of steam.exe or something it should do it (right click on the file and find the line in one of the headers).

Right click on the game, go to launch options, and then add -gl.
