I really need to start skinning. I can't find a good, easy tutorial for g-max online... :( Can someone please (if they're willing to) write out a step-by-step on how to skin and skinmap please? And I'd also like to know how to alpha map... but I'll get to that later.
Thanks to the person who is willing

google yealds good results once more o/

the first link on a search for "unwrap uvw tutorial":

http://waylon-art.com/uvw_tutorial/uvwtut_01.html

almost all the uvw tools are the same between max/gmax. if i remember rightly, the only thing thats missing is the "relax" feature, which just makes it less stressfull. other than that, Gmax has the same uvw features as Max R4.X

Thats because that tutorial is for 3D Studio max. I have never used Gmax, so im not sure where the buttons are... But I would suggest looking around and putting your cursor on every button and see what it does, or just use google, search for gmax uv mapping tutorials, not much else I can do :(.

www.wc3campaigns.com

lots of skinning and modeling/unwrapping crap there, look around in the modeling section, or the tutorials section.

as for skinning... theres not really a "how to" guide, its just drawing over the skin map and praying that it looks good.
